COP17: Transformative changes

At COP17 in Yerevan, we are closely following the events and discussions of the IPBES and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) concerning transformative changes and the 2050 vision of living in harmony with nature.

We are presenting our report, Towards a Quebec Economy in Harmony with Nature , which is based on the IPBES report on transformative change. The result of a dialogue involving nearly 100 stakeholders from more than 12 sectors, it proposes five strategic directions and over 30 initiatives that are structured around the five transformative change strategies of the IPBES.

We also present the findings of our major consultation with Quebec youth on biodiversity , which echo this call for transformative changes to address the biodiversity crisis.

This work contributes to shaping the reflections on the transformations needed to realize the 2050 vision and better integrate biodiversity into the decisions that shape our societies.
