May 22, 2025 – The Quebec Youth Network for Biodiversity (GYBN Quebec) is officially launched, marking an important milestone for youth engagement in biodiversity in Quebec.
Affiliated with the Global Youth Biodiversity Network, this network gives a collective voice to young people aged 16 to 35 who want to get actively involved in protecting life and implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
GYBN Quebec aims to strengthen youth participation in decision-making processes, promote their initiatives, and create spaces for dialogue, training, and action. Whether through awareness-raising, organizing events, or participating in national and international forums, the network intends to give voice to the concerns, ideas, and solutions of the next generation.
Workshops for Biodiversity is proud to have contributed to the launch event for GYBN Quebec and looks forward to working with this new network to ensure that young people's perspectives are fully recognized in decisions affecting biodiversity. |
